New York Jets offensive tackle Duane Brown returned to practice on Thursday, opening his 21-day window to be activated off injured reserve.

Brown, 38, started the first two games of the season before being placed on IR with shoulder and hip issues.

He is a five-time Pro Bowl selection with 217 career starts across 16 seasons with the Houston Texans (2008-17), Seattle Seahawks (2017-21) and Jets.

Brown was selected by the Texans with the 26th overall pick of the 2008 NFL Draft out of Virginia Tech. He signed a two-year, $20 million deal with the Jets in August 2022.
