Jacksonville Jaguars running back James Robinson returned to the practice field on Thursday.

Robinson, who did not participate in practice on Wednesday, is attempting to work his way back from a heel injury that kept him out of Jacksonville’s 9-6 win over the Buffalo Bills last Sunday.

Robinson, 23, leads the team in carries (88), rushing yards (482) and rushing touchdowns (five). He also has 18 catches for 133 yards in seven games.

Rookie quarterback Trevor Lawrence returned to the practice field for the second straight day Thursday. He was listed as a limited participant on Wednesday after sustaining an ankle injury versus the Bills.

Lawrence is expected to be ready Sunday when the Jaguars (2-6) meet the Colts (4-5) in Indianapolis.

On the season, Lawrence has completed 59.5 percent of his passes for 1,821 yards with eight touchdowns against nine interceptions. He was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.
