NFL: Giants WR Malik Nabers (hip flexor) receives MRI, sits out practice

New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers is questionable for Sunday’s game against the visiting New Orleans Saints as he deals with a hip flexor injury.

Nabers received an MRI to determine the severity of the injury that he sustained in practice on Thursday. He has also been dealing with a groin injury throughout the majority of the season.

Nabers did not participate in practice on Friday. Giants coach Brian Daboll said that team doctors had not ruled Nabers out for Sunday.

Nabers, 21, leads the team in catches (75), receiving yards (740) and touchdowns (three). He was the sixth overall pick of the 2024 NFL Draft.

Wan’Dale Robinson and Darius Slayton likely would see more targets should Nabers sit out for the Giants (2-10) against the Saints (4-8) on Sunday.
