Fullback Jakob Johnson announced over social media on Friday morning that he has been released by the Las Vegas Raiders.

Johnson played in eight games (three starts) this season before sitting out the last two since the Raiders fired head coach Josh McDaniels. Johnson was with McDaniels in New England and joined him in Las Vegas shortly after the latter was hired to coach the Raiders.

Johnson, 28, caught one pass for 12 yards this season and has served as a contributor on special teams. He has totaled 19 catches for 105 yards and one touchdown in 62 career games with the Patriots (2019-21) and Raiders. He did not have an official carry in his NFL career.
