Former Raiders cornerback Damon Arnette was arrested in Las Vegas early Saturday on gun and drug charges.

The former first-round draft pick was booked into the Clark County Detention Center on counts including assault with a deadly weapon, carrying or concealing a gun without a permit, possession of marijuana or cannabis, and possession of a class one- or two-level controlled substance, according to jail records obtained by the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

The arrest stemmed from a report early Friday evening of a person with a gun at the Park MGM Las Vegas hotel and casino, according to a Metropolitan Police Department spokesman.

Arnette, 25, and another man are being held without bail pending a court appearance on Sunday morning, per the report.

The Raiders released Arnette in November amid two lawsuits and a troubling video posted by the defensive back.

One lawsuit alleges he left the scene of an accident in October 2020 near the team facility when he was running late for a team meeting. A second lawsuit by an employee of the Aria Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas alleges that Arnette berated and spit on a valet employee over a dispute about retrieving his car.

A video also surfaced that shows Arnette repeatedly threatening to kill someone while brandishing what appears to be semi-automatic weapons.

The Raiders selected Arnette with the 19th overall pick out of Ohio State in the 2020 draft. Injuries limited him to 13 games (seven starts) in his one-plus seasons. He didn’t record any interceptions and had 29 tackles.

Last week, Arnette signed a reserve/futures contract with the Kansas City Chiefs. According to NFL Network, the Chiefs immediately released Arnette following news of his arrest.
