Indianapolis Colts running back Zack Moss has been downgraded to out for Sunday’s game against the host Atlanta Falcons.

Moss initially was listed as questionable with a forearm injury after failing to participate in practice this week. He sustained the injury in a play during which he scored a receiving touchdown in Indianapolis’ 30-13 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers last Saturday.

Star running back Jonathan Taylor is expected to return to action for the Colts (8-6) after suffering a thumb injury against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Nov. 26. The 2021 NFL rushing leader has missed Indianapolis’ past three games.

Moss, 26, has recorded career-high totals in carries (177), rushing yards (764) and rushing touchdowns (five) in 13 games this season. He also has 27 receptions for 192 yards and two scores.

Also on Saturday, the Colts elevated wide receiver Ethan Fernea and offensive tackle Jared Veldheer from the practice squad to the active roster for Sunday’s contest.
