The Denver Broncos named Green Bay Packers tight ends coach Justin Outten as their new offensive coordinator on Wednesday.

The Broncos also hired Butch Barry as their offensive line coach and Klint Kubiak as the team’s passing game coordinator/quarterbacks coach.

Outten, 38, replaced Pat Shurmur, who was let go when Denver fired head coach Vic Fangio on Jan. 9. Outten is reunited with new Broncos head coach Nathaniel Hackett after both worked together in Green Bay for the past three seasons.

Outten joined the Packers in 2019 after a three-year stint with the Atlanta Falcons — first as a coaching intern (2016), then as an offensive assistant (2017-18).

With Outten’s departure, the Packers have lost three members of their 2021 coaching staff, including Hackett and passing game coordinator Luke Getsy, who was hired by the Chicago Bears on Sunday as their offensive coordinator.

Barry previously served as an assistant offensive line coach with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2015-18) and a senior analyst with the Packers (2020). He also was an assistant offensive line coach with the San Francisco 49ers (2021).

Klint Kubiak, the son of former NFL head coach Gary Kubiak, was the Vikings’ quarterbacks coach in 2019-20 and offensive coordinator in 2021.
