Buffalo Bills starting safety Taylor Rapp was ruled out for the AFC Championship Game on Sunday against the host Kansas City Chiefs.

Coach Sean McDermott announced Friday on WGR 550 radio in Buffalo that Rapp would miss the game because of a hip injury. Rapp has not participated in practice this week.

Cole Bishop and Cam Lewis could receive more playing time in the absence of Rapp, who was injured in the second quarter of Sunday’s divisional playoff win over the Baltimore Ravens. Rapp was ruled out midway through the third quarter of the Bills’ 27-25 victory.

Rapp, 27, recorded three tackles and an interception in the two playoff games.

A Super Bowl champion with the Los Angeles Rams, Rapp had 82 tackles, two interceptions and a forced fumble this season.

The Bills also listed two players as questionable for Sunday, and linebacker Baylon Spector and cornerback Christian Benford. Spector, who is on injured reserve due to a calf injury, was a full practice participant all week. Benford, who sustained a concussion against Baltimore, missed the Friday practice due to personal reasons.

Linebacker Matt Milano (hamstring) and cornerback Taron Johnson (neck/shoulder) were full participants in practice on Friday and are expected to be available to face the Chiefs.

All Kansas City players should be ready to go on Sunday.
