Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase participated in warmups and is listed as active for Sunday’s game against the visiting Houston Texans.

Chase, who earlier had been listed as questionable to play against the Texans, injured his back in a hard fall during Sunday night’s 24-18 victory over the Buffalo Bills. He did not participate in Wednesday’s practice and was limited in both Thursday’s and Friday’s sessions.

Chase being available to play on Sunday is a welcome sight for the Bengals (5-3), who ruled out wideout Tee Higgins due to a hamstring injury.

Chase, 23, leads the team in catches (64), receiving yards (697) and receiving touchdowns (four) in eight games this season. The No. 5 overall pick in 2021 had four receptions for 41 yards in Cincinnati’s victory over Buffalo.

Higgins, 24, had eight catches for a season-high 110 yards versus the Bills. He has 27 catches for 328 yards and two touchdowns in seven games this season.

In addition to Higgins, the Bengals listed linebacker Devin Harper, center Trey Hill, defensive tackle Josh Tupou, defensive end Sam Hubbard and offensive tackle Jackson Carman as inactive for Sunday’s game.

The Texans (4-4) listed the following players as inactive: wide receiver Nico Collins, running back Dameon Pierce, tight end Brevin Jordan, safety Jimmie Ward, linebackers Henry To’oTo’o and Jake Hansen, and fullback Andrew Beck.
