The Cincinnati Bengals lost tackle Riley Reiff to injured reserve and cornerback Chidobe Awuzie to the reserve/COVID-19 list on Thursday.

Both are veteran starters for the Bengals.

Reiff, 33, has started 12 games at right tackle this season, his first in Cincinnati. He’ll have to miss at least three weeks with an injured ankle he reaggravated this past Sunday. The Bengals have four games remaining.

Awuzie, 26, could return from the COVID list for Sunday’s game at Denver depending on his vaccination status and subsequent test results.

Awuzie has two interceptions in 12 starts this season, also his first in Cincinnati. He has recorded 47 tackles and 12 passes defensed.

Sunday’s contest is a must-win game for both the Bengals (7-6) and Broncos (7-6). Both are currently out of the AFC playoff picture but could still play themselves in, starting with a win. The Bengals are the ninth seed and the Broncos are 10th.
