Texas A&M defensive ends coach Terry Price has died, KBTX (Bryan, Texas) and 247Sports reported Friday.
Price was 55.
Price played at Texas A&M from 1986-89 and coached defensive line at Western Kentucky (1994), Ole Miss (1995-98; 2009-11), Auburn (1999-2008) and Texas Tech (2011) before returning to his alma mater. He was the defensive line coach for three seasons before transitioning to a defensive end-specific role in 2015.
During his playing days, Price was part of the Aggies’ famed “Wrecking Crew” defense and helped them win three straight Southwest Conference championships. He was a 10th-round selection by the Chicago Bears in the 1990 NFL Draft and appeared in two games.
Price is also known as the Aggies’ barbeque “pitmaster,” as he would hold regular defensive lineman cookouts.
Price’s son, Devin Price, was a wide receiver for Texas A&M for the past three seasons. He transferred to FAU ahead of the 2023 season.
