Arizona State quarterback Sam Leavitt is slated to return from a rib injury to start Saturday’s game at Oklahoma State, coach Kenny Dillingham said on Wednesday.

Leavitt was injured during a 27-19 win against Utah on Oct. 11. He missed the following week’s 24-14 loss to Cincinnati.

The Sun Devils (5-2, 2-2 Big 12) had a bye last weekend.

Leavitt, a transfer from Michigan State, has passed for 1,166 yards, eight touchdowns and four interceptions in six games this season.

Jeff Sims filled in against Cincinnati with his 26th career start. He completed 12 of 23 passes for 155 yards and rushed 14 times for 53.

Sims also has started games for Georgia Tech (23) and Nebraska (two).
