Emanuel Miller scored 27 points as TCU topped No. 9 Oklahoma 80-71 in Fort Worth, Texas, on Wednesday night.

Miller went 11-for-17 from the floor and grabbed nine rebounds as the Horned Frogs (12-3, 1-1 Big 12) stayed undefeated at home (8-0). TCU forced 14 turnovers, leading to 25 points, and shot 43.8 percent from the field.

Oklahoma (13-2, 1-1) suffered its first loss since Dec. 20 and shot 44.8 percent overall. Javian McCollum had a team-high 17 points to go along with six boards and five assists in the loss. John Hugley IV added 14 points.

The Sooners pulled away early, taking a 13-7 lead with 14:51 left in the first half. TCU fought back with a jumper from Jameer Nelson Jr. and three free throws from Chuck O’Bannon, cutting its deficit to a single point 44 seconds later.

Seven lead changes occurred during the remainder of a back-and-forth half. With 2:57 left, Oklahoma’s Otega Oweh broke a 29-29 tie with a 3-pointer, but TCU countered swiftly. The Horned Frogs closed the first half on an 11-2 run, converting four of their final five shots of the period, to take a 40-34 edge into the break.

TCU picked up where it left off in the opening minutes of the second half, stepping up on the defensive end while the offense kept momentum. At a media timeout with 15:10 remaining, TCU held a 51-44 lead, having made five of its last six shots, while holding the Sooners to a 3-for-9 mark in the first 4:50.

The Horned Frogs made their key move midway through the half, with Avery Anderson III’s 3-pointer with 11:18 left igniting the rally. From there, TCU scored 20 of the next 31 points to open up a commanding 78-61 lead with 2:33 to play.

After sinking his trey, Anderson had eight more points during the outburst. He finished with 15 for the game.

McCollum nailed a pair of threes as Oklahoma closed the game with a 10-2 run.
