Severe winter weather forecasts for the Houston area on Tuesday led the No. 7 Houston Cougars to move their men’s basketball game against Utah to Wednesday at 5 p.m. Central time.

Forecasts have the area receiving up to six inches of snow and freezing temperatures.

The Cougars (14-3, 6-0 Big 12) were scheduled to play the Utes (11-6, 3-3) on Tuesday night at the Fertitta Center, where Houston has won 32 consecutive games for the longest home-winning streak in the country.

The Big 12 women’s basketball contest between Texas Tech (13-7, 2-5) and host Houston (5-13, 1-6) was moved up from 7 p.m. to 1 p.m. Central time on Wednesday to accommodate a doubleheader.
