Scotty Pippen Jr. scored 19 points on Tuesday night as Vanderbilt defeated Missouri 70-62 in Nashville, Tenn., for its third victory in its last four games.

Jordan Wright (11 points, 11 rebounds) and Quentin Millora-Brown (10 points, 11 rebounds) also had strong games for the Commodores (13-10, 5-6 SEC).

Center Liam Robbins, playing in just his second game of the season after recovering from injuries, blocked four shots.

Javon Pickett, who missed the previous two games with a facial injury, scored 15 points for the Tigers (9-14, 3-7) before fouling out. Missouri’s leading scorer, Kobe Brown, fouled out after scoring just nine points.

The Tigers, who have lost five of their last six games, missed 20 of 25 shots from 3-point range.

Both teams started slowly offensively, combining to score just 16 points in the first seven minutes. Missouri finally found success by attacking the basket.

Pickett scored nine first first-half points, and his 3-point play put the Tigers up 13-9.

Brown picked up his second personal foul with 7:42 left in the first half and went to the bench with Missouri leading 16-13. The Commodores took advantage of his absence and outscored the Tigers 14-6 for rest of the half to take a 27-22 lead.

Rodney Chatman, who scored 24 points Saturday against LSU, sparked a closing 9-0 run with a 3-point jumper and added a fast break layup.

Missouri went 0-for-11 from beyond the arc in the first 20 minutes but stayed within range by forcing eight Vanderbilt turnovers.

The Commodores pushed their lead to 32-24 when Myles Stute hit a 3-point jumper and Pippen scored in the paint.

With Vanderbilt up 49-38, the Tigers used a 17-5 run to take a 55-54 lead with 5:55 to play. Pickett converted two fast-break layups to trigger the turnaround.

After Kaleb Brown’s second straight 3-pointer gave Missouri a 58-57 lead with 4:52 left, the Commodores closed out the game with a 13-4 surge.
