Oral Roberts wasted no time finding its new head coach, promoting assistant coach Russell Springmann to the top job to replace Paul Mills.
Mills officially was named head coach at Wichita State on Wednesday, and Oral Roberts promoted Springmann hours later.
Springmann joined Mills’ staff at Oral Roberts in May 2018. He previously spent 17 years as an assistant to Rick Barnes at Texas.
