Tae Davis poured in 24 points in 27 minutes as Notre Dame wrapped up its nonconference schedule by rolling to a 91-62 victory over visiting Le Moyne on Sunday night in South Bend, Ind.

Davis made 6 of 10 shots from the floor and added 12 free throws for the Irish (7-5), who won their third game in a row while setting season-highs for points and victory margin. Braeden Shrewsberry added 16 points and Logan Imes came off the bench for a career-high 11.

Dwayne Koroma paced Le Moyne (5-9) with a career-high 22 points along with eight rebounds. Former Notre Dame shooting guard Robby Carmody posted 13 points and AJ Dancler added 10. The Dolphins were outrebounded 45-27 and limited to 37 percent shooting from the field.

Davis powered the Irish an 11-5 lead less than four minutes into the game.

Carmody, who received a nice hand from the home crowd, hit a lefty reverse layup and the accompanying free throw to cut the lead to 16-13 at the 11:36 mark. That marked his first points on Notre Dame’s floor since Nov. 26, 2019 — the second of his five injury-plagued seasons in South Bend.

Notre Dame then reeled off a 16-2 run to seize control. Kebba Njie scored on a layup and Shrewsberry rattled home a 3-pointer before making a short turnaround and a floater in the lane. Julian Roper II cashed an open 3-pointer from the corner to push the lead to 34-17 with 6:08 left in the half.

Shrewsberry’s drive and 3-point play with 10.5 seconds left gave Notre Dame a 49-30 halftime lead – the Irish’s season-high for first-half points.

Davis made two layups and two free throws in the first three minutes of the second half to push Notre Dame’s margin to 58-33.

Irish coach Micah Shrewsberry pulled his starters with 7:53 left and the Irish holding a 79-49 lead. Le Moyne promptly reeled off five straight points on a Koroma dunk and Carmody 3-pointer but never threatened the rest of the way.
