Ongoing COVID-19 concerns within the UCLA and Southern California programs forced the two schools to postpone upcoming games with Arizona and Arizona State, both programs announced Friday.

UCLA said its home games against Pac-12 opponents Arizona (Dec. 30) and Arizona State (Jan. 1) will be rescheduled. USC indicated likewise for home games against the Sun Devils (Dec. 30) and Wildcats (Jan. 2).

The fifth-ranked Bruins (8-1, 2-0 Pac-12) have not played since a 67-56 win at Marquette on Dec. 11.

UCLA’s nonconference games against Alabama State (Dec. 15), North Carolina (Dec. 18) and Cal Poly (Dec. 22) were canceled. The Bruins’ Dec. 5 game at Washington was also postponed due to the Huskies’ COVID-19 issues.

The eighth-ranked Trojans (12-0, 2-0 Pac-12) haven’t played since beating Georgia Tech 67-53 in Phoenix on Dec. 18.

A Dec. 21 game against Oklahoma State in Oklahoma City was canceled due to confirmed COVID-19 cases within the USC program.

The next date on the schedule for both schools is Jan. 6, with UCLA visiting Stanford and USC playing at Cal.
