Regional foes Maryland and Georgetown will renew their rivalry with a four-game series starting in the 2025-26 season.

The news was announced Tuesday by both schools, which are located just 23 miles apart but have not met since Nov. 15, 2016.

The first meeting will be hosted by Maryland at the Xfinity Center in College Park, Md., during the 2025-26 season.

Georgetown will host at Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C., in 2026-27, with the venues continuing to alternate in 2027-28 and 2028-29.

Maryland is 38-27 in the series that began in 1911. From 1935-80, the Terrapins and Hoyas played every year with the exception of a three-year hiatus during World War II.
