T.J. Bickerstaff totaled 14 points and six rebounds and Quinten Post added 13 points off the bench for Boston College (6-3, 1-0 ACC), which earned its third consecutive victory and improved to 6-0 at home.

Brothers DeMarr Langford Jr. and Makai Ashton-Langford also chipped in 10 points apiece for BC.

Prentiss Hubb had 15 points off the bench and Blake Wesley scored 12 for Notre Dame (3-4, 0-1), which has dropped three straight and four of its last five.

Fighting Irish leading scorer Dane Goodwin was held to 10 points on 5-of-14 shooting while going 0-of-6 from 3-point distance.

The Eagles shot 49.1 percent (27-of-55) from the field and 6-of-13 (46.2 percent) from 3-point range. Meanwhile, the Fighting Irish struggled to the tune of 38.2 percent shooting (21-of-55) and were just 8-of-28 from long distance.

BC trimmed its all-time series deficit to 26-13 versus Notre Dame. The Eagles are 3-13 against the Fighting Irish in ACC play and improved to 9-11 against them at home.

Boston College led 37-27 at halftime. Goodwin’s layup with 12:34 left in the opening half tied it at 11 for Notre Dame before Post made a pair of free throws 23 seconds later to put the Eagles on top for good. BC ended the half on a 26-16 push.

The Eagles led by as many as 23 points in a noncompetitive second half.

Notre Dame returns to the court on Dec. 11 when it hosts No. 9 Kentucky. Boston College is also off until Dec. 11 when it visits Saint Louis.
