Duke guard Jeremy Roach declared for the upcoming NBA draft on Monday, but initial plans are for him to maintain his eligibility to preserve the option to return to college.

The 6-foot-1 Roach completed his third season with the Blue Devils in March, finishing second on the team with 13.6 points per game. He started 30 of 32 games this season for Duke, which was eliminated in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

“I look forward to gaining valuable feedback and experience in the pre-draft process,” Roach posted to Twitter.

Roach joins teammates Dereck Lively II and Dariq Whitehead in the draft. Freshman point guard Tyrese Proctor announced he would return for his sophomore season.
