KJ Simpson scored 30 points and Colorado overcame a 16-point second-half deficit to beat Southern California 92-89 in double overtime on Saturday night at Los Angeles.

Colorado (17-9, 8-7 Pac-12) rallied for the win after losing four of its previous five games.

A jumper in the lane by Boogie Ellis cut Colorado’s lead to 90-89 with 1:34 left in the second overtime.
After Simpson made two free throws with 1:09 remaining, Ellis missed a jumper. Colorado’s J’Vonne Hadley missed a hook shot, and DJ Rodman grabbed the rebound for the Trojans.
A timeout was called by USC with 12 seconds left with Colorado clinging to a 92-89 lead. When play resumed, Ellis had his 3-point attempt blocked at the buzzer.
