Former Arizona State guard DJ Horne is heading home to play for the hometown NC State Wolfpack.

“I chose NC State because home is where the heart is,” the Raleigh, N.C., native told On3 Sports on Monday.

Horne has one year of eligibility remaining.

Horne played the past two seasons in Tempe, Ariz., and was the Sun Devils’ second-leading scorer this past season with 12.5 points per game.

He has averaged 12.1 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 120 games (107 starts) with Illinois State (2019-21) and Arizona State.

At NC State, Horne joins a formidable backcourt of Casey Morsell and Jayden Taylor, who transferred in from Butler last week.
