Reigning event champion T-Wolves Gaming cruised into the Western Conference final of the NBA 2K League’s The Tipoff Tournament with a 2-0 series win over Mavs Gaming on Friday.

In the day’s other match, 76ers GC came from behind to beat the Gen.G Tigers 2-1 in an Eastern Conference semifinal.

The Saturday conference finals will feature T-Wolves Gaming and Lakers Gaming in the West, 76ers GC and Heat Check Gaming in the East.

The tournament’s knockout rounds are being held at the new NBA 2K League Studio in Indianapolis.

The T-Wolves opened Friday with a 74-61 win over the Mavs behind 25 points and five assists from Dhwan “ShiftyKaii” White. In the second game, the T-Wolves rolled 81-69.

The Tigers took a 59-47 win to open their series, but the 76ers pulled level with an 80-56 blowout. In the decisive third game, the 76ers won 52-47 thanks to 19 points from Brendan “Reizey” Hill.

The NBA 2K League season will run through August, with the focus on tournament play and qualifying events for tournaments. The traditional five-on-five tournaments are The Tipoff (season opener), The Turn (midseason) and The Ticket (late season).

The league is also adding a number of three-on-three tournaments that will lead up to a three-on-three championship featuring a separate prize pool.
