Pistons GT, who won the Slam Open championship last week in Washington, opened play in the NBA 2K League’s 3v3 Switch Open with two wins on Thursday.
Finally entering the competition on the third night, the Pistons beat Hawks Talon GC 3-1 and blitzed Heat Check Gaming 3-0.
Bucks Gaming and NBL Oz Gaming, another two teams that were idle Tuesday and Wednesday, announced their arrival with a pair of victories apiece on Thursday.
The Bucks crushed Hornets Venom GT 3-0 and squeezed past Warriors Gaming Squad 3-2. Oz defeated the Gen.G Tigers 3-1 and downed Hornets Venom GT 3-1.
Pacers Gaming demolished 76ers GC 3-0 to improve to 4-0 in the event, tied for first place with Knicks Gaming, who were idle on Thursday.
The Switch Open is the second 3v3 event of the NBA 2K League season. All of the league’s teams are competing in qualifying matches that will determine seeding for bracket play.
In other Thursday action, the Heat swept Mavs Gaming 3-0, the Warriors edged Gen.G 3-2, the Hawks handled Blazer5 Gaming 3-1, Blazer5 toppled the Mavs 3-2, and Jazz Gaming bested Cavs Legion GC 3-1.
