Mavs Gaming improved to 2-2 in the NBA 2K League’s 3v3 Switch Open qualifying by beating Hawks Talon GC 3-1 on Saturday.
Mavs Gaming opened with a 22-19 win before Hawks Talon answered with a close 21-19 triumph. The Mavs took over from there, winning 21-19 before clinching the match with a 22-15 victory.
Jeri “Jarsity” Pena led Mavs Gaming with a 9.0 ppg average. He added two steals in the clinching game.
The Switch Open is the second 3v3 event of the NBA 2K League season. All of the league’s teams are competing in qualifying matches that will determine seeding for bracket play.
There is just one more game on the weekend schedule, as 76ers GC will square off with Wizards District Gaming on Sunday.
