Hornets Venom GT will be without rookie forward Cristian “Plu” Young for the rest of the season for violating the NBA 2K league’s anti-gambling rules.

League president Brendan Donohue made the announcement Wednesday, adding that Plu did not wager on any NBA 2K games.

“Young will be eligible for retainment by Hornets Venom GT in the offseason and will be eligible to participate next season,” the league said in the announcement.

Venom will select from a list of undrafted players from this past year’s draft pool to replace Plu. Venom next play Friday against T-Wolves Gaming.

Plu was selected No. 25 overall in February’s NBA 2K league draft.
