An MRI on Washington Wizards forward Rui Hachimura’s sore right ankle revealed a bone bruise.

He has missed the past five games and will not play Wednesday night at Brooklyn.

Hachimura’s status beyond that will be based on his recovery.

He is averaging 11.6 points, 4.8 rebounds and 23.5 minutes in 16 games off the Wizards’ bench this season.

A first-round pick (ninth overall) in 2019, Hachimura has career averages of 12.9 points and 5.2 boards in 163 games (118 starts).
