NBA scoring leader Stephen Curry and sidekick Draymond Green will sit out when the Golden State Warriors visit the Detroit Pistons on Friday night.

Curry is bothered with a left hip contusion, while Green is dealing with a right thigh injury. Andre Iguodala (right knee soreness) and Otto Porter Jr. (left foot) also will miss the game for Golden State.

The 33-year-old Curry has a 29.5 scoring average and also leads the NBA with 85 3-pointers. He is missing his first game this season for the NBA-best Warriors (13-2), who finish a four-game road excursion in Detroit.

Curry injured his hip on Tuesday when he collided with James Harden of the Brooklyn Nets. But that didn’t stop him from excelling two days later as he scored 40 points and matched his season high of nine 3-pointers in a 104-89 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Green is averaging 8.1 points, 7.6 assists and 7.5 rebounds in 15 games. Iguodala is averaging 3.8 points, 3.8 assists and 3.5 rebounds in 12 games, while Porter is averaging 6.0 and 4.2 rebounds in 14 contests.
