The Portland Trail Blazers announced Saturday that an MRI revealed further damage, in the form of bone bruising, incurred by point guard Scoot Henderson when he sprained his right ankle against the Detroit Pistons on Nov. 1.

Henderson, the third overall selection in the 2023 NBA Draft, is expected to miss an additional two to three weeks as the bruising heals.

The rookie has missed three games since the injury, suffered during the Blazers’ 110-101 win.

Henderson is averaging 8.8 points, 2.2 rebounds and 4.6 assists in his career thus far.
