Minnesota Timberwolves guard Mike Conley Jr. is expected to return to the lineup for Thursday’s pivotal Game 6 of the Western Conference semifinal series against the Denver Nuggets in Minneapolis, The Athletic reported.

Conley sat out Minnesota’s 112-97 loss to Denver in Game 5 on Tuesday due to a calf injury. The Timberwolves trail 3-2 in the best-of-seven series.

Conley, 36, was spotted at Minnesota’s shootaround on Thursday morning. He is averaging 11.3 points, 7.0 assists and 3.8 rebounds in eight games (all starts) in the postseason.

In his 17th NBA season, Conley started 76 games and averaged 11.4 points, 5.9 assists, 2.9 rebounds and 1.2 steals. He shot 44.2 percent from 3-point range and 91.1 percent from the free-throw line — both career highs.
