San Antonio Spurs forward Keldon Johnson apparently is ready to cash in on his breakout season.

Johnson and the Spurs agreed to a four-year, $80 million contract extension, according to a report by The Athletic on Friday evening.

In his third season out of the University of Kentucky, Johnson averaged career highs of 17.0 points, 6.1 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 2021-22. He shot 39.8 percent from 3-point range while playing in 75 games (74 starts).

Johnson is the top returning scorer for the Spurs, who dealt All-Star guard Dejounte Murray to the Atlanta Hawks earlier this summer.

Johnson, 22, owns career averages of 14.4 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 161 career games (142 starts). San Antonio selected him with the 29th overall pick in the 2019 draft.
