Toronto Raptors guard Immanuel Quickley will be out at least a week after he suffered a partial tear to the ulnar collateral ligament in his left elbow, the team announced Tuesday.

The injury occurred in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s 123-103 loss to the host Los Angeles Lakers, which was just Quickley’s second game back after a pelvic injury in the season opener.

Quickley will be reevaluated next week, the Raptors said.

Quickley, 25, signed a five-year, $175 million contract in June, after originally joining the Raptors with RJ Barrett in the Dec. 30, 2023, trade that sent forward OG Anunoby and two others to the New York Knicks.

Quickley averaged 18.6 points, 6.8 assists and 4.8 rebounds in 38 starts for Toronto following the trade, compared to 15.0 points, 2.5 assists and 2.6 boards in 30 games off the New York bench prior to the deal. In three games this season, he’s averaging 15.3 points, 4.0 assists and 2.0 rebounds, though he played just 14 minutes in the season opener before leaving with the pelvic injury.

A first-round pick (25th overall) in 2020, Quickley made the All-Rookie team in 2020-21 and boasts career averages of 13.7 points, 3.4 rebounds and 3.5 assists in 294 games (68 starts). He has also knocked down 600 3-pointers at a 37.5 percent clip.
