The Toronto Raptors converted forward Jamison Battle’s contract to a two-way deal on Saturday and waived guards Jahmi’us Ramsey and Jared Rhoden and center Branden Carlson.

Terms of Battle’s deal were not disclosed. The Raptors now have the maximum 15 players on their active roster, plus three two-way players.

Battle, 23, an undrafted free agent out of Ohio State who signed on July 16, posted solid preseason numbers, averaging 6.4 points per game in 9.8 minutes per game in five games as a reserve. He shot 54.5 percent from the field, including 57.1 percent from 3-point range.

With RJ Barrett and Bruce Brown nursing injuries to begin the season, Battle — who was on an Exhibition 10 contract — will likely be counted on for depth at the wing position.

Ramsey, 23, appeared in seven games (one start) for Toronto last season and averaged 6.7 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game. In parts of three seasons with the Sacramento Kings (2022-23) and Raptors, the Kings’ 2020 second-round pick has averaged 3.8 points and 1.2 rebounds in 39 games (one start).

Rhoden, 25, played the past two seasons with the Detroit Pistons and averaged 4.1 points and 2.3 rebounds in 31 games.

Along with Battle, Ramsey and Rhodes were also on Exhibition 10 contracts, which are one-year deals with the minimum salary. They can include an optional bonus but don’t come with any compensation protection.

Carlson, 25, is an undrafted free agent out of Utah who was on a two-way contract.

The Raptors open their season Wednesday against the visiting Cleveland Cavaliers.
