Indiana Pacers star guard Tyrese Haliburton will miss Game 4 of the Eastern Conference finals against the Boston Celtics on Monday night due to his left hamstring injury, coach Rick Carlisle said.

It marks the second straight game the All-NBA third-team choice has missed. He was injured during Game 2 in Boston.

Carlisle announced that Haliburton was unable to play during his pregame media availability about 75 minutes prior to tipoff.

Haliburton had 25 points and 10 assists when the Pacers put up a huge fight in Game 1 before falling 133-128 in overtime. He had 10 points and eight assists in a 126-110 loss in Game 2. He was injured during the second quarter and exited for good in the third period.

Indiana is down 3-0 in the best-of-seven series. No team has recovered from that deficit to win a playoff series in NBA history.

Boston big man Kristaps Porzingis (calf) is sitting out for the 10th straight game.

Indiana will also be without power forward Jalen Smith (illness).
