NBA: NBA fines Nets, Pacers players after altercation

The NBA issued fines to Indiana Pacers guard Andrew Nembhard and center Myles Turner as well as Brooklyn Nets forward Trendon Watford following their altercation on the court.

Turner and Watford were assessed fines of $35,000, while Nembhard was docked $20,000.

With 4:48 left in the fourth quarter, Pacers guard Bennedict Mathurin drove to the basket for a layup to cut the Nets’ lead to 84-79. Watford and Nembhard collided while going back up the court, with the former shoving the latter with his right forearm. Turner inserted himself into the altercation, shoving Watford.

Watford was assessed two technical fouls and ejected while Turner and Nembhard were each assessed technical fouls.

The Pacers went on to post a 105-99 win in overtime.
