The NBA fined the Philadelphia 76ers $100,000 for violating injury reporting rules, the league announced Friday.

According to the NBA, the team was inaccurate in its listing of the status of center Joel Embiid for Tuesday’s game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Sixers listed Embiid as being out until just before game time. However, he played 29 minutes and scored 24 points in the 109-105 Philadelphia win.

Embiid, 30, is averaging 34.8 points and 10.9 rebounds over 36 games. He missed 29 games after sustaining a knee injury on Jan. 30 against the Golden State Warriors and subsequently underwent surgery on his right meniscus.

In a news release, the league said the fine “takes into account the 76ers’ prior history of fines for violating injury reporting rules.”

On Feb. 1, the NBA fined the Sixers $75,000 for not including Embiid on their injury report in “an accurate and timely manner” ahead of their Jan. 27 game against the Denver Nuggets.
