Former No. 1 overall pick Markelle Fultz announced Saturday he will make his season debut for the Orlando Magic on Monday night against the Indiana Pacers.

“I’m back,” the 23-year-old guard said in a brief video clip posted by the team on Twitter.

Fultz has not played since tearing his left ACL in a game against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Jan. 6, 2021, more than 13 months ago.

Selected with the No. 1 pick in the 2017 NBA Draft by Philadelphia, Fultz owns career averages of 10.9 points, 4.6 assists and 3.3 rebounds in 113 games (83 starts) with the 76ers (2017-19) and Magic. Injuries limited him to 14 games in his rookie season, 19 games in 2018-19 and just eight games last season.
