LeBron James will sit out the Los Angeles Lakers’ home game against the Minnesota Timberwolves Sunday with flu-like symptoms, the team announced.

James, 39, has missed just 10 games this season and played in 68, his most games in a season since he appeared in all 82 games for the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2017-18.

Los Angeles (45-33) is 6-4 in games this season without James, a 20-time All-Star.

The Lakers are currently eighth in the Western Conference standings with four games left in the regular season. They were one game behind the Phoenix Suns and New Orleans Pelicans, who are tied for sixth in the conference at 46-32 after New Orleans beat Phoenix on Sunday.

The Timberwolves (53-24) are the West’s second-best team in terms of overall record, a half-game behind the Denver Nuggets in the race for the No. 1 seed in the West.

Lakers guard Gabe Vincent (ankle) will also be unavailable Sunday.
