New York Knicks center/forward Precious Achiuwa is nursing a strained left hamstring and will be re-evaluated in two to four weeks, the team announced Sunday.

Achiuwa sustained the injury while attempting a dunk during the fourth quarter of a preseason game against the Washington Wizards on Friday. He went straight to the locker room and did not return to the contest.

Achiuwa, 25, averaged 7.6 points and 6.6 rebounds in 74 games (18 starts) last season split between the Toronto Raptors and Knicks.

He is averaging 7.8 points and 5.7 rebounds in 263 career games (62 starts) with the Miami Heat (2020-21), Raptors (2021-23) and Knicks.
