Utah Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell entered the NBA’s concussion protocol on Tuesday.

Mitchell, 25, is believed to have sustained the injury during the first half of Utah’s 101-95 loss against the Los Angeles Lakers on Monday. He finished the game with 13 points, eight rebounds and seven assists, and he reportedly began experiencing concussion-like symptoms later that night.

It is uncertain how much time Mitchell might miss because of the injury.

In 40 games this season, Mitchell is averaging 25.5 points, 4.0 rebounds and 5.2 assists. He is shooting 45 percent from the field and 33.9 percent from beyond the 3-point line.

The two-time All-Star is in his fifth season with the Jazz.

Utah’s next game is set for Wednesday at home against the Houston Rockets.
