Utah Jazz forward Lauri Markkanen is available to play against the visiting New York Knicks on Wednesday night after missing the past eight games with a left hamstring strain.

Markkanen hasn’t played since Nov. 22 and will be limited to 20-25 minutes against New York, per Jazz coach Will Hardy.

Utah scuffled without Markkanen, going 3-5.

A first-time All-Star a season ago, the 26-year-old Markkanen has averaged 23.7 points and 8.7 rebounds in 15 games this season. He is shooting 48.4 percent from the field and 38.3 percent from beyond the arc.
