Atlanta Hawks star guard Trae Young missed Wednesday night’s game against the Sacramento Kings due to a sore lower back.

Young’s absence came after he scored a career-best 56 points during a 136-131 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers on Monday.

Young reported soreness on Tuesday and was initially listed as questionable by the Hawks. He was ruled out on Wednesday.

Young was 17 of 26 from the field, knocked down 7 of 12 from 3-point range and hit all 15 of his free-throw attempts on Monday during the highest scoring performance in the NBA this season. He also had 14 assists.

On the season, Young is averaging 28.4 points and 9.5 assists.
