Los Angeles Clippers forward Kawhi Leonard was ruled out of Wednesday night’s game against the host Utah Jazz due to his right ankle injury.

It will be the fifth consecutive game Leonard has missed. He has played in just five games this season, largely due to soreness in his surgically repaired right knee.

Leonard, a two-time NBA Finals MVP, is averaging 10.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 3.4 assists.

Also, Clippers star Paul George is sitting out his sixth successive game due to a hamstring injury, and Luke Kennard will miss his eighth in a row with a calf injury.

Also ailing for Los Angeles is swingman Norman Powell, who scored 22 of his season-high 32 points in the fourth quarter of Tuesday’s 118-112 comeback win over the host Portland Trail Blazers. Powell is listed as doubtful with a left groin strain.

Reggie Jackson, who fell hard to the floor late in the second quarter Tuesday, is questionable with a lower back contusion.

For Utah, veterans Mike Conley (leg) and Rudy Gay (hand) will miss the game.
