The Cleveland Cavaliers will be without guard Darius Garland and forward Evan Mobley for at least a month.

Garland sustained a fractured jaw in Thursday night’s loss in Boston. The team announced Friday that he will have a procedure to heal the affected area and will be re-evaluated in approximately four weeks.

Mobley will undergo arthroscopic surgery to remove a loose body in his left knee on Monday. The team said he will be out approximately six to eight weeks.

Garland was injured in a third-quarter collision with Celtics center Kristaps Porzingis. He went to the locker room for evaluation but returned to play most of the second half.

Garland, 23, is averaging 20.7 points, 5.9 assists and 2.8 rebounds in 20 games (all starts) this season.

He made the All-Star team in 2021-22 and has averaged 18.7 points and 6.7 assists in 270 games (266 starts) since Cleveland drafted him with the fifth overall pick in 2019.

Mobley, 22, has missed the last four games with soreness in his knee. He is averaging 16.0 points, 10.5 rebounds and 2.9 assists and shooting 57.3 percent from the field in 21 games (all starts) this season.

Mobley made the NBA All-Defensive team last season and has averaged 15.7 points and 8.9 rebounds in 169 games (all starts) since the Cavaliers drafted him with the third overall pick in 2021.

Cleveland entered Friday in ninth place in the Eastern Conference with a 13-12 record. The short-handed Cavaliers host the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday night.
