Chicago Bulls guard Ayo Dosunmu will undergo surgery on his left shoulder and miss the remainder of the season, the team announced Sunday.

Dosunmu sat out three games due to left shoulder subluxation before returning to collect 11 points and five rebounds in Chicago’s 125-115 overtime victory over the Toronto Raptors on Friday.

Kevin Huerter, acquired in the trade that sent Zach LaVine to the Sacramento Kings last month, likely will see an uptick in playing time in place of Dosunmu, who is averaging 12.3 points, 4.5 assists and 3.5 rebounds in 46 games (26 starts) this season.

In his career, Dosunmu, 25, has averages of 10.2 points, 3.3 assists and 2.9 boards in 279 games (154 starts) since being selected by the Bulls in the second round of the 2021 NBA Draft out of Illinois.
