Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid will sit out Sunday’s game against the host San Antonio Spurs due to injury management of his left knee.

Embiid recorded 30 points and 12 rebounds while playing in just 23 minutes of Philadelphia’s 116-96 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday.

The reigning NBA MVP has averaged 27.7 points and 7.3 boards in three games since returning from a 29-game absence due to torn meniscus in his left knee.

Embiid, 30, is averaging 34.7 points, 11.0 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 1.7 blocks in 37 games (all starts) this season.

The 76ers also are resting point guard Kyle Lowry for Sunday’s game, while forward Tobias Harris (knee) and point guard Tyrese Maxey (hip) are listed as questionable.
