Sporting Kansas City defender Logan Ndenbe will be sidelined for up to nine months with a torn right ACL, the club confirmed Wednesday.

He sustained the knee injury in the 62nd minute of Sunday’s 2-1 MLS Cup playoff victory against St. Louis City SC.

Ndenbe, 23, scored goals in both matches against top-seeded St. Louis to help complete the first-round sweep and send SKC to the Western Conference semifinals.

He had no goals and one assist in 43 MLS matches (37 starts) over his first two seasons in the league from 2022-23.

Sporting KC will face either the Houston Dynamo or Real Salt Lake in a single-elimination match on the weekend of Nov. 25-26.
