MLS: Sporting KC claim M Danny Flores off waivers

Sporting Kansas City claimed Danny Flores off waivers and signed the 20-year-old midfielder for the 2023 season.

The deal announced Friday includes options for 2024, 2025 and 2026.

The California native recorded five goals and five assists in 33 matches (31 starts) for Virginia Tech from 2021-22.

He played three seasons in the USL Championship for Philadelphia Union II (2019-20) and Oakland Roots SC (2021).
