The New England Revolution are lending homegrown midfielder Noel Buck to Southampton FC of the English Premier League, the team announced Saturday.

The loan, which includes a purchase option, is until the end of January 2025.

“Noel is an extremely talented young player who is very deserving of this opportunity to join Southampton and test himself in a new environment,” said Curt Onalfo, the Revolution’s sporting director. “It has been gratifying to watch Noel’s growth as a player from his start in our Academy through his ascendancy to the first team. We look forward to seeing Noel continue his development during this loan spell in England.”

Buck, who is from Arlington, Mass., debuted professionally at 16, scoring six goals in 44 appearances for the club’s reserve team, Revolution II.

Since ascending to the MLS roster in 2022, the 19-year-old has notched five goals and three assists in 45 MLS appearances (30 starts), including 13 appearances in 2024 under new head coach Caleb Porter.

The Revolution play later Saturday at Real Salt Lake.
